"Years ago, I was caretaking a fire for a group ceremony. At one point the fire dimmed low, and it was like I could not remember what to do to build it up. I fanned it, nothing would happen. Added leaves and nothing happened. In that moment I forgot how to care for a fire. A shaman was facilitating the ceremony and had an apprentice with him. I explained to the apprentice what happened. He quickly explained to the shaman and the shaman advised him to help me. The apprentice motioned me to join him gathering first little bitts of straw and branches as kindling. Then he began adding quite a few pieces of wood around in a circle pointing to the stars. He then raised his hands to the air and prayed to the Great Creator/God/Divine and gave thanks for fire and ask for the Divines Blessing. He then proceeded to fan the embers and within seconds the fire burst into flames. After the fire burned hot and could have destroyed the drums around the fire. He then motioned me to move them which I quickly did. He walked over and patted me on the shoulder with a smile. That was the moment I was taught how to rekindle a sacred fire. As we go through life we all carry a fire within us. If we lose site of it or misuse it we could lose site on how to care for it and it could go out. Remembering to add kindling by taking small steps to adding positives to your life is the beginning. Then surrounding yourself with supportive people that will help your fire burn. By giving gratitude for the support and for the fire(life) given to you by the Divine, through prayer we honor the fire that is within. With the remembrance and movement forward we fan the flames, the fire burns and life continues to be bright. But as we burn bright we must be respectful of those around our fire and make sure they do not get burned from it. So in that respects it lead me to the creation of Rekindled Fire LLC. The mission of Rekindled Fire is to see all on this earth remember their fire, their passion, there life and to see it thrive. "
